About me:

I'm one of a pair. We were rescued from a shelter in West Virginia when we were 18 months old. My sister Maya and I now live in a warm, safe home. They gave us lots of toys and we get yummy food everyday. Maya and I survived Parvo, and then caught kennel cough, worms and allergies when we first got picked up by the shelter. It was a hard three months for us. We've been with our family for 6 months now and we've both gained weight and we're so much healthier now.

About my owner/parents:

We have such a big family now. Our parents bring us home toys and treats almost everyday. Every other day, our grandmom picks us up and we go for walks with her and when it's nice out our gandpa lets us run around the back yard. It's so much fun. Also, our grandpa drives us to his house in Florida every couple months. We have a chihuahua cousin and an aunt who takes us to the beach and hangs out by the pool. We don't like the water, we just like to explore and chase the lizards and birds. Last time we were there, we went jet skiing. Mostly, we're just so happy that we have a safe place to live and parents who hug and cuddle and kiss us and take really good care of us.

Maya and I were both born on Oct. 6, 2006

My Breed:

We're mixed breed chihuahuas. Given that Maya looks like a miniature beagle, we figure our dad was probably a beagle. Except for my floppy ears, I look like a giant chihuahua. We both weigh about 13 lbs.

Story behind my name:

I came with my name. Maya's name used to be Tiffy, but since my name means "Star", my mom renamed Maya - it means illusion. Our dad calls us his chickens and mom calls us her monkeys. But, if you have treats, you can call us whatever you want.

I like to run around with my wubbies and I like to go outside.
