MT: What's your inspiration behind the '08 Spring/Summer collection?

ON: Our inspiration behind our Spring/Summer 2008 collection was soft warm colors and texture, texture, texture! This is seen in our hand-smocked dresses, which are full of luscious textures.

MT: Name 3 adjectives to describe the Oscar Newman fashionista.

ON: Exclusive, Indulgent, Passionate

MT: Is there a celebrity style you admire?

ON: Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce Knowles, and Elizabeth Hurley are celebrities whose style we gravitate towards. These women exemplify unique style, drama, elegance, and luxury.

MT: Tell us about the first piece you designed and how it turned out.

ON: Two pieces come to mind -- a Embroidered Denim with Shearling Trim coat and a Mother of Pearl coat. Both coats had stong textures, hand-embellished with unique items such as mother of pearls and Swarovski crystals, resulting in very distinctive, timeless styles. These coats were released when there were hardly any coats like them in the industry. Until today, these coats are very wearable and still look "new".

MT: Are you a fan of Project Runway and would you ever go on a reality TV show?

ON: HUGE fan of Project Runway! I've seen every season and every episode! I admire the talent and creativity under all that pressure! And aside from being a judge on WE TV's America's Cutest Puppies --- NO, I would never go on a reality show! I'm too inhibited and stilted for reality TV. And I would rather do the "watching" than the "performing".
