Modern Tails spoke with Bobbi Panter about fur, beautiful fur!

MT: How did you come up with your signature peach scent? It’s divine.

BP: My signature peach scent is my favorite of all of my custom fragrances and I never get tired of it. I was very careful and specific when I was developing Gorgeous Dog, my first product, to make sure that it had a scent that was not overwhelming, that made you feel good and matched the color that I wanted. I had some potpourri that I had bought years ago that I absolutely loved and it was a soft peach scent. I had it in my favorite peach bathroom and every time I went into that room it made me smile. I just loved it. So, I worked for a very long time on the scent once I had the product right because I wanted it to be rich but did not want it to be too strong or fruity smelling. The chemist would make a batch send it to me and I would change a little here, a little there. Once I got the right scent, I knew it was perfect!


MT: Name 3 adjectives to describe the Bobbi Panter dog.

BP: Spirited, unconditionally loving, gorgeous (by the way…every dog is a gorgeous dog!)


MT: Do you have any tips to make bath time more enjoyable?

BP: Of course using my products make bath time more enjoyable because they smell so great and contain chamomile and lavender to relax your pet as you bathe them. Nice warm water, a Gorgeous Dog candle, soft music and a big fluffy towel make it a fun experience for both your pet and you!


MT: We know you can't use human shampoos on dogs but can we use your shampoo for our hair?

BP: Absolutely and many have, including me. Most pet owners don’t know that human shampoo, even tearless, is Ph balanced for humans which is different than for pets. It actually burns the skin and eyes of your pet. Pets can’t use human shampoo but humans can use my line on themselves as well as their pet! My products are all great for humans and have been tested on humans. A reporter from the Chicago Tribune mentioned in his “This Stuff Works” article that he had tried Gorgeous Dog on himself. Compare the ingredients on your own shampoo to the ingredients on my line and you will see how great my ingredients are. Women with long hair swear by Snarly Dog and you can find my line in many showers! We get calls all the time from people who have used Itchy Dog on their own rashes, psoriasis and poisin ivy.

BP: Jessica Simpson, Eva Langoria and Gwenyth Paltrow. Celebrity Dogs with great hair…Bebe and Cece!
